Ed received the Holy Spirt in the early 70’s and attended Bethel University and a charismatic training center soon thereafter. He has been trained in the prophetic and healing gifting. He enjoys doing “the stuff” as John Wimber coined years ago. Going to the nations has been a dream and vision since his conversion in 1971. Being involved in churches that support missionaries and church planting is also part of his vision and passion.

Sharon is an intercessor and a key aspect in Ed Wright Ministries (EWM). She gathers crucial information while Ed is in other nations and keeps a growing network of intercessors informed of the work and specific needs as they arise.

Ed and Sharon believe that commitment to a local assembly is essential. They both are involved in a local Vineyard church with various activities such as teaching on Spiritual Gifts; participation in prayer and intercession groups; small groups; and leadership training.

Travel is a key part of EWM since the gospel knows no bounds. Going to the nations is fulfilling several prophetic words given to Ed and Sharon over many years.

Ministry also includes taking His presence into local communities. This continues to be a part of Ed’s concentration through involvement in prayer walking, local prayer events, HUB Michiana, Ribbon of Hope, WFRN Radio, and the Elkhart County National Day of Prayer Task Force. The presence of God loves to break in, to heal, save, and set free.

Ed and Sharon enjoy family activities with six sons, five daughter-in-laws, and 13 grandchildren. They are excited about each aspect of life they are engaged in.
